Hunger Pukes

"Hunger Pukes" are when your dog vomits a yellow/green foamy bile (but it can be any color). The bile in the vomit lets you know that this is a "Hunger Puke", if there is food in his vomit then these are not "Hunger Pukes". Hunger Pukes are a direct result of a dog's body expecting food at a certain time and when it doesn't get it, he throws up. A simple way to avoid these Hunger Pukes is to feed your dog various amounts of food at various times. For example, instead of having him on a strict feeding schedule of 6am, try feeding him at 5am, the next day 7am, the next day 6am, the next day 8am, etc. conditioning him and his tummy to make it all the way into the late evening with no food and no puking either. Another way to prevent Hunger Pukes is to feed your dog smaller meals more frequently, also at varying times of the day. This helps by never allowing the dog's body to feel "hungry" and therefore no "Hunger Pukes"!
This was a quick Note I hope you found informative! I have seen many of these questions floating around and thought I would answer them all at once. As always, if you have any dog related question/topic you'd like me to write about feel free to ask!
